Deb Pfaff
Dr. Deb Pfaff is an Associate Professor of Research at National Intelligence University within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Her career in the intelligence community began in 2004 as an all-source intelligence analyst with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). In 2009, she deployed to Iraq as a targeter, where toxic exposures left her with life-altering health issues. Her continued passion for advocacy drives her work and writing on behalf of those civilians left unprotected after serving their country in conflict zones. She holds a Doctorate in Justice, Law, and Criminology from American University, a Master’s in Forensic Science from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Gettysburg College. Dr. Pfaff lives in Northern Virginia, with her husband, stepson, and two dogs. A dedicated triathlete, she will compete in the National Championships this year.

Sadly, the only way for civilians to receive care and compensation for deployment-related illnesses and injuries is for Congress to pass legislation, and Department of Labor to change their methodology.
